The showstoppers of Rome: the Vatican, Pantheon or Colosseum often distract from Rome’s other great highlights. This food tour will take you off the beaten track to two laidback neighbourhoods offering distinct flavours and cusines.

The Jewish Ghetto is one of Rome’s most intiriguing neighborhoods due to its hybrid of history, architecture and tradition. It also carries its own distinct cuisine quite different from what is often thought of as typically Roman. Fried artichokes and unexpected ingredients which have lent themselves to this innovative cuisine.

Then its time to cross the Tiber River and head to Trastevere. Lit by twinkling lights, framed by canopies of greenery, it is hard not to fall under Trastevere’s spell. It was made for movies and eating.

We will take you to typical bars offering delicious typical pre-dinner snacks. Once you’ve had your fill of exploring it is time to sit and unwind in a typical trattoria with a plate of Roman pasta and a glass of wine
